Welcome to
Fort Mill Cooperative Preschool!
At Fort Mill Cooperative Preschool, children learn through the Reggio Emilia approach which meets or exceeds the early learning standards in the state of South Carolina. Our program is implemented by experienced teachers who foster joy and encourage young children to explore, create, and experiment.
We see the child as continually developing in all areas including physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and creative domains. Each child is a unique individual worthy of respect and a loving response to their needs.

The child’s family is seen as an integral part of the program and they are invited to participate in all areas of the program.
"Families are the well spring that creates and nurtures the children in our classrooms. When working closely with families we help to foster their sense of belonging and their confidence. We help to strengthen parents’ capacity to support their children over a lifetime."
-Gayle Fischer and Bridget Murray, “When Teachers Reflect”
Fort Mill Cooperative Preschool is open year round serving children ages six weeks to 12 years old.
Our hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. We kindly ask that all children arrive by 9:00 am to ensure a smooth start to their day.
We offer a range of programs including infant-toddler care, preschool, and after-school enrichment. Flexible full-time and part-time options are available to best meet your family's needs.
Fort Mill Cooperative Preschool proudly accepts the ABC Quality Child Care Scholarship, a program offered through South Carolina’s Department of Social Services to help working families afford high-quality child care. Eligible families may receive up to 12 months of tuition assistance, with payments made directly to our school. As an ABC-certified provider, we’re committed to meeting high standards while supporting families with flexible, affordable care options.
